Our club organizes and sponsors the annual 4th of July parade in Portage. The parade is always on the 4th of July (no matter what day of the week it falls on) and kicks off at 11:00am from the north-end of the village then proceeds south down SR 25 to Enright Park.
Following the parade there are several activities scheduled that includes a car show, games, hot dogs, and a bake sale. More activities are planned later in the day including food trucks and of course, Fireworks!

In the past our club sponsored a Bike for Sight event on the Slippery Elm Trail. The ride was scheduled for early May and raised funds that were designated to eye health. Lions Clubs, both locally and internationally sponsor a variety of sight programs.
