Lions Recycle for Sight
The Portage Lions Club collects used eyeglasses as part of the global mission of Lions Clubs International to combat blindness. In just about any home, you can find a pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used. That same pair of eyeglasses can change another person's life.
Throughout the year, our club collects used eyeglasses and delivers them to VOSH in Pandora, Ohio. The eyeglasses are cleaned, sorted by size and prescription strength, and packaged for use on mission trips around the world.
How You Can Help
Donate your glasses and change someone's life. We accept both prescription eyeglasses and ordinary sunglasses. For your convenience we have collection boxes located around Bowling Green and Portage (see list below).
